If you are a fan of Animal Crossing, puzzle games, and exploration games, this next humble bundle looks like bundle for you. The Down to Earth bundle is filled with games inspired by the beauty and grandeur of the earth and put together to celebrate Earth Day.
For the low price of $14 (that’s cheaper than Summer In Mara is on the Switch) you get 8 great looking games.
I’ve rated them here based purely on my excitement about them. I haven’t had a chance to play any of them yet.
Summer in Mara
What a great looking game. A cross between a survivalist game and a animal crossing, this is the game I’m probably the most excited about. I enjoy these peaceful games, and enjoy exploring and collecting in worlds.
Never Alone
A game inspired by and made in collaboration with Alaskan natives, this is an exploration and puzzle game featuring a young native boy and a snowy fox. The snowy fox in particular is absolutely adorable and lifelike. The game can be played both is solo or co-op game modes.
Beyond Blue
A noncompetitive game that allows the player to explore an entire underwater world, I see my 4 year old in particular loving exploring this world, and taking pictures of the amazing underwater creatures.
Lost Ember
“Experience the contrasting stories of the fall of mankind and the lush life in a world reclaimed by nature with a wolf as your main character and a determined companion at your side.”
That quote from the description in the humble bumble made me sit up and pay attention. Love the non-zombie take on post apocalyptic game play. It sounds really fun!
Figment
I’m a little tired of games that feature death or memory, but this still looks like it would be entertaining to play. The puzzles look entertaining , and the art work is stunning.
Yono and the Celestial Elephants
Another game with a beautiful artwork, this platform/puzzler looks like it has a clever conceit.
“Yono and the Celestial Elephants is a grand adventure, featuring carefully designed puzzles, treasure hunts, a sprinkling combat and a world full of people. Play as a young elephant tasked to save a world he’s never seen before, and explore the rich history of a kingdom where humans, zombies and robots live side by side.”
ARIDA: Backland’s Awakening
“Face the effects of drought in this historical single-player game that blends elements of survival and adventure.”
ABZU
From Humble: “Immerse yourself in a vibrant ocean world full of mystery and bursting with color and life. Perform fluid acrobatics as the Diver using graceful swimming controls. Discover hundreds of unique species based on real creatures and form a powerful connection with the abundant sea life. Interact with schools of thousands of fish that procedurally respond to you, each other, and predators. Linger in epic seascapes and explore aquatic ecosystems modeled with unprecedented detail. Descend into the heart of the ocean where ancient secrets lie forgotten. But beware, dangers lurk in the depths. “ABZÛ” is from the oldest mythologies; AB, meaning water, and ZÛ, meaning to know. ABZÛ is the ocean of wisdom.”
