I enjoy collecting soccer scarfs, and I wanted a good way to display the scarves of my local soccer team, Minnesota United FC. I knew that my display had to allow me to take the scarves down easily. I think the end result turned out really well.
Goals: Look good, easy to remove scarves and put them back up.
Materials:
8 foot long wood trim. To be cut in half.
Stain.
10 badge clips.

10 #4 x 3/8″ screws
4 drywall or wood screws
Steps
1. I first cut the 8 foot trip in half and then stained it with some stain I had left over from staining some window trim. I used a paint brush, but my brother recommended I just use an old cotton cloth, to better work the stain the wood. Next time, that’s what I would do. It doesn’t have to be any specific size piece of wood. I chose 8 feet, because I had about a four foot space to work with on the wall.
2. Next, I pulled the plastic piece off the badge clip, and screwed the clips onto the piece of wood from the top hole and through the smaller hole on the back. I spaced them about 10 inches apart, but they could probably be as close as 8 or 7 inches and still fit the scarves. You can see the small hole in the picture below.
3. Finally, I mounted the two pieces of wood on the wall with just normal wood screws. Choose a screw that will stay in your wall.
And that’s it. Pretty easy project that works great and looks good.
