William Gibson has written an article in the most recent Scientific American about the modern city. While that article is behind a paywall, they do include an interesting interview with him.
When I think cyberpunk, I immediately think William Gibson. To me, his stuff is cyberpunk. His more recent books haven’t really grabbed me the same way. I really think he is on to something with the future of cities, as he mentions in his interview. Gives me food for thought if I ever get a chance to play a cyberpunk game. Some of the stuff he wrote about in his early novels have definitely come true, while some things are still in the process of coming true.
