Really like this thread on Story Games about selling and shipping books through a kickstarter type publishing model. Daniel Solis has also recently posted his seminar from Gencon on using kickstarter and crowd-funding to publish that he did along with Wolfgang Baur, Greg Stolze and Gary M. Sarli.
If I ever put together something worthy of being published again, I definitely will look into this model.
