FATE is one of my favorite game systems I’ve never had a chance to play. The simplicity of the resolution rules, along with the way in which the game encourages collaborative story telling really engages me. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to play a FATE based games.
Game Systems based on FATE
Spirit of the Century: Fun RPG set in the 1920’s. You’re a member of the Centurions, people who embody the spirit of the century. A fun looking game with a great story.
Diaspora: This is probably the game that got me into FATE. You start off by creating the planetary worlds, ala Traveller, but you do it collaboratively. The rules seem to encourage a great deal of cooperation and buy in by the players.
Dresden Files RPG: I know the least about this, mainly because I’m not a big fan/don’t have cable of the original IP. Heard great things about it though.
The Fate of the Galaxy: A Star Wars FATE Adaption: A Star Wars FATE Adaption. Looks pretty good, but I haven’t had a chance to read it all the way through yet.
