Mushi Shi: Anime Review

http://www.hulu.com/watch/35641/mushi-shi-the-green-seat#s-p6-so-i0

I have been slowly working my way through the episodes of Mushi Shi, an anime TV show based on a manga.  I’m not a huge Anime fan by any means, but I do enjoy a good Anime show or movie now and then.  Really, I enjoy most anything that is well made, and this show is unbelievably finely crafted.

The first episode, “Green Seat”, introduces us to a boy with the unique ability to create life with his pen and a man who understands his power.  The man is able to see a creature that is part mishi, who turns out to be his grandmother.  Mishi are spirits that the boy can see, as well as the Man.

The audio of the dubbed version is fantastic, and the visuals are stunning.  And since you can watch it for free on Hulu, there’s no reason for you not to watch it.

Reminds me of:

Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away.

Rating:

5/5 Highly Recommended.
